Hope Chapel has provided a place of reflection, prayer and solace for generations, including at times of national crisis. Just as our building is emerging from months of restoration work, following the floods in February, we all now face further restrictions in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis.
The new government guidance permits places of worship to be used for 'individual prayer' and Hope Chapel is intending to open its doors every day for anyone who wants to make some headspace for personal reflection or just take a break from seeing the same four walls.
The large building is Covid-secure, with sanitising stations, a one-way system and even a new hi-tech ventilation system. From Thursday, we shall be open weekdays 4.30-6.00pm and at weekends 2.00-3.30pm and need volunteers to welcome visitors. So, if you can give a couple of hours of your time to help, email community@hope-baptist.org.uk

A familiar sign to anyone who's watched Hope Chapel over recent years. We're finally fixing the February flood damage ahead of reopening - Covid-safe - this Autumn. In the meantime, the chapel is open for personal prayer and reflection each Sunday afternoon and we gather on Zoom each Sunday morning.
It's your sanctuary space.
